24 Hour Concert

TBA Spring 2012

Once per semester at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, brand new music is composed, rehearsed, and performed over the course of 24 hours - the 24 Hour Concert. In preparation for the event, composers recruit volunteer performance majors. On the Friday night of the event, the names of these performers are drawn randomly from a hat to form an ensemble for each composer. From 8pm Friday to the following Saturday at 8am, the composers write brand new pieces of music. Over the next 12 hours, the ensembles prepare them. At 8pm on Saturday, the performance begins. This will be Stephen's 6th time organizing the event, which will be scheduled soon.

May 9th, 2011

This site has gone without updates for almost a year, and much has happened. Stephen will graduate with his Bachelor's degrees in both Music Composition and Computer Engineering on May 26th, and is set to continue both programs at the Master's level. Stephen's Senior Composition Recital was held on March 30th in Goodwin Hall at the Peabody Institute, and video-recordings are available at this YouTube Channel. Several works have been added to the list and have been performed and recorded, and those shall be reflected in the Works and Recordings section shortly.
